Details of destruction: On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation launched a large-scale offensive on the territory of Ukraine, and on February 26, mass airstrikes, rocket and artillery shelling of military and other important defense facilities, high-rise buildings, and houses began throughout the city of Mariupol. Before that, my family still had the opportunity to spend the night in the apartment, but from March 1, under artillery explosions, we were forced to run to the basement, by the end of March we could hardly get out, lived there for a month, without light, gas, water, almost without food. On March 6, during the military operation of the Russian armed forces on the territory of Ukraine, my parents' apartment was destroyed as a result of a direct hit by a 122 mm multiple launch rocket system projectile (the results of the examination of the Armed Forces of Ukraine while staying there). Later, on the morning of March 10, after the airstrike and part of the entrance where the parents' apartment was located: the destruction of walls, windows, doors, damaged all the property that was in the apartment. These destructions are confirmed by photo and video confirmation. On March 11, 2022, at about 10 am, there was a direct hit on the first floors of the entrance, and a couple of hours later in the apartment of Svekrova. This house was opposite our house. During this, we physically could not be there, run and somehow help, as we were constantly shelled and we were not able to reach it. Before that, under fire, we took turns visiting her every day and bringing warm food. My mother-in-law was sick and could not walk on her own, which made it difficult to carry her to the basement of her house. After hitting the entrance, a fire broke out. Neighbors who were nearby and hiding in the basement of her house tried to save her, but due to constant shelling and inability to breathe, they were forced to leave her. The next day, breaking under fire to her, I saw that she was dead. It is very difficult to imagine that in the 21st century it is impossible to bury a person, but this is the terrible truth of March 2022 in Mariupol. In those days, almost no one was buried, cold, frozen ground, lack of guns and constant shelling - people abandoned their loved ones and fled. My family, sitting in the basement under shelling and airstrikes, did not abandon the thought of burying a loved one, but the danger of coming to the enemy's house did not allow us to do so. On the morning of March 25, when the explosions were silent for two hours, I decided to go outside the city. The car was bombed and almost did not drive. After under fire, risking their lives, my family was humiliated from Russian checkpoints and filtering, we left the city. Mariupol and having reached a safe place on 17.04.2022, I filed a statement about the crime with the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. To date, there are no results. My wife and I were left without work, without a loved one, without apartments and the opportunity for a quiet existence. In June, I turned 60 years old, but errors were found in the workbook (it is impossible to confirm with a certificate, since the company is located in occupied Mariupol), so today I have not yet received a pension, I have filed a lawsuit to confirm the records. My wife was fired from her job after the occupation of the city. Finding something at the age of 59 in the new region proved impossible. Today, my family and I, like most families in the country, face extremely great financial difficulties. Having lost everything, we live on the salary of our daughter and son-in-law and social assistance in the amount of UAH 2,000 per person, rent an apartment for 15,000 hryvnias per month, our money is practically not enough for a normal life. To accumulate on a new apartment apparently will never work again.
